We at Bayfire Press are dedicated to those who are helping with the animals in their areas. These hard working folks are making a difference in the spay, neuter, health, adoption, and local education for unwanted animals. We salute them in their efforts and hope you visit their sites.
If you book travel online, please check out www.flyanimal.com for all your discounted travel needs. Same flights, hotels, cars, cruises as Travelocity/Orbitz/Hotels.com at the same rates (and sometimes cheaper). All proceeds go to the animals on Isla Mujeres/Cancun area!
Alison Sawyer Current’s animal website is www.islaanimals.org. See photos, information, and newsletters about her work in Mexico.
Isla Mujeres, Mexico is a small island off the East coast of the Yucatan Peninsula near Cancun. There are many needs with the local population, and there are some wonderful people helping in the areas of health, education, special needs, and language skills, as well as the animal overpopulation issues. The umbrella organization helping in many areas is a non-profit group called Peace, and you can learn more about them at www.peace-islamujeres.org, as well as our wonderful friend Molly on the West coast of Mexico, her site is www.peacemexico.org.
Rebecca, a former islander, selflessly works hard fundraising in Madison, Wisconsin. Please visit her at www.artandphilanthropy.com.
Also, if you live in NYC, Dr. Ina Obernesser is your best Vet bet, She and James have been such a great help in so many ways! Go to www.uptownvetsnyc.com.
And a big thank you to Chris L. on Isla for all his web help, you are awesome and we thank you!
